On April 30, 2026, Scheck Hillel’s 10th-grade students were given the opportunity to showcase their talents and hobbies at the 10th Grade Thesis Exposition. For this project, students were required to delve deep into a topic of their choosing and achieve a goal based on said topic. The final culmination of this learning journey, presented at the exposition, could take the form of a product, application, or personal goal.
Over the course of the year, these students met checkpoints and challenged themselves to push through to define their goals, process, and product. They maximized their achievements by exploring their passions in real time and discovering their identity. The event took place in the gymnasium, where teachers and students visited stations featuring colorful boards, meaningful presentations, and fulfilling results!
Many students used the exposition as an opportunity to explore subjects they were passionate about and transform their ideas into meaningful projects. Over the course of several months, students researched, planned, and refined their work in preparation for the event.
The expo featured a variety of projects such as student-created businesses, inventions, artwork, physical products, and presentations centered around skills that students taught themselves throughout their work. As eager visitors wandered from display to display, students reached out to explain both their process and final results.
Throughout the project, students strengthened important skills such as communication, problem-solving, leadership, and time management. The exposition allowed students to challenge themselves while expressing their interests and creativity.
