On May 18, 2026, sophomores and freshmen representing Scheck Hillel’s engineering program went to the Posnack Jewish Day School to present the Capstone projects they worked on throughout the year. This was part of the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) Innovation Day Competition.
The teams presented innovative projects that would create solutions for real-world problems. Ultimately, two teams were named as finalists. The projects were built entirely from scratch, requiring the students to deeply brainstorm ideas, design solutions, and execute their vision through hard work and perseverance.
The presentations they created not only represented the technical skills they had learnt throughout the year, but also the teamwork and dedication needed to complete the experience. Most importantly, creating and presenting these Capstone projects proved to the students that they are capable of making meaningful impacts through their own ideas and hard work.
