The tragic day of October 7th, 2023, has caused much grief – specifically for Jews. Despite our tears, little remorse has been displayed across America. Our so-called “dream” colleges are infested with antisemitic individuals who harass Jews and are entirely uninvolved with the current situation in Gaza. It is a horrific time to be a Jew living on college campuses, as these schools seem to justify or disregard the hatred at hand. According to time.com: “Already some Jewish parents are steering their high school juniors and seniors away from attending or applying to more prestigious universities based on how their administrators have handled the frictions that have been continuously sharpened and the attitudes and behavior of faculty and students alike.” Many Jewish families are rallying and demanding for their children to be taken out of these unstable and antisemitic environments. Even though this situation is untenable, this may be a step in the right direction for Jewish unification.
