Scheck Hillel Community School’s annual Club Fair took place on Thursday, September 25, and the students were quite excited. The room was alive with activity as students from grades 9-12 moved across the rows of decorated tables to talk, eat sweets, and register for clubs that caught their interest. Everyone got a chance to see the vast array of choices this year during this delightful afternoon.
One of the tables featured the Mock Trial Club, led by Charlotte Pery, Shira Sager, and Tamar Grobman. They introduced students to the world of debate and the chance to sharpen public speaking skills. Furthermore, the NCSY Club, led by Eva Winterman, Hadar Zohar, and Ami Kattan, drew attention due to its focus on Jewish values, social events, and building a strong sense of community. Both clubs showed how a variety of different interests are represented at Hillel. As students sat at tables, they spoke, reconnected with friends, and considered which groups best fit their interests. The club fair was one of the most lively afternoons of the school year thus far, with laughing and excitement echoing throughout the room.
Overall, the event set the tone for a year full of curiosity and collaboration by reminding everyone that Hillel’s spirit thrives through student initiative and shared passion. With so many involvement opportunities, it is clear that this year will be one of growth and lasting memories.
