The halls of Scheck Hillel are once again alive with energy, laughter, and ruach as we begin a new school year together. Although the summer is now behind us, the excitement on campus is only beginning. After weeks of travel, camp, family time, and rest, students and faculty have returned to school, hoping to learn, grow, and reconnect with one another after time apart.
One of the most impactful changes this fall is the addition of Mr. Dulzaides, our high school’s new dean. It is clear that his priority is to help every student succeed and enjoy the learning process. Teachers and staff are equally enthusiastic about the fresh perspectives he brings. Beyond leadership changes, our Hillel community has several matters to look forward to. Academically, teachers and students are working together to dive deep into new challenges. This combination of our exemplary teachers and students allows for the growth and achievement of our school. Outside of the classroom, school spirit is exceptionally high. Our many athletes are back in training for this year’s sports season, and their fans cannot wait to cheer them on throughout what will be a very successful year. In addition, our arts program is preparing various musical and theatrical performances that showcase the talents of the students involved. Student-led clubs are also starting up, preparing for a year full of achievement and service.
For most, the return to school also means reconnecting with peers and forming new relationships. Whether travelling abroad or attending camp, each student brings an exciting story from their summer break back to our community, spreading ruach and energy in the process. As the year unfolds, one thing is certain: the spirit of our community is incredibly strong! With dedicated staff, engaged students, and an excellent community overall, this school year will surely be filled with great memories and accomplishments!
