Scheck Hillel’s Varsity Boys’ soccer team extended their undefeated streak on November 12, 2024 with a 5-0 win against the Riviera Prep Bulldogs. Fans at the game witnessed a dominant display by our Lions, who showcased teamwork and individual brilliance.
Leading the Lions, striker Adam Waich achieved a hat trick by scoring three goals in one game, and was thus awarded “Player of the Match”. Waich is ranked nationally for multiple statistics, and continues to shine as one of the top players in Class 2A. With 11 goals in just four games, the striker is averaging an incredible 2.8 goals per game. His seasonal goals rank him #25 Nationally, #19 In Florida, and #1 In FL Class 2A, District 15.
“I couldn’t have done it without my teammates,” said Waich. “The chemistry we have on the field is amazing, and we’re just getting started this season.”
Adding to the scoreline, right back Aquiba Serfati contributed with a well-taken goal, an impressive feat for a player primarily focused on defense. Known as the “engine” of the team, Serfati could barely stay still for the entire 90 minutes of the game as he shuffled back and forth across the field, seamlessly transitioning between defensive duties and offensive support. “We went into this game with a clear plan to dominate possession and stay disciplined defensively. Everyone gave it 100%, and it showed in the result,” Serfati said. The Lions are looking forward to the exciting season ahead after this remarkable victory. Congratulations to the team on their hard work and determination! States 2025!
