Who will work with President Donald J. Trump to “Make America Great Again”, and how capable are they of fulfilling their positions?
The highly-coveted position of Secretary of State is expected to be taken by Florida Senator Marco Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and previous opponent of Trump in the 2016 Republican primaries. For the position of Secretary of the Treasury, the president chose Scott Bessent, the Chief-Executive Officer of Key Square Group, a hedge fund. He also serves as the world’s foremost strategist in geopolitical relations and is a big advocate for the implementation of tariffs.
Former Fox News host, Pete Hegseth, now heads the Department of Defense as the Defense Secretary. A military veteran, Hegseth takes great pride in advancing and improving the country’s defense system. Furthermore, the new Attorney General of the United States is none other than the Former Attorney General of Florida, Pam Bondi.
Doug Burgum was appointed as Secretary of the Interior by Trump and formerly served as the Governor of North Dakota. He will lead a newly formed National Energy Council. The position of Secretary of Agriculture was filled in by Brooke Rollins, an environmentalist. She served with Trump in his first administration as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council.
Howard Lutnick received the position of Secretary of Commerce, and is expected to to lead the tariff and trade agenda. He a billionaire and the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, an American financial services company. Representative Lori Chaves of Oregon-DeRemer–a newly-registered Republican–was named Labor Secretary.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was named the Secretary of Health and Human Services. He aims to face challenges in relation to the industrial food complex and drug companies engaged in deception.
The position of Housing and Urban Development Secretary was granted to former NFL player, Scott Turner. Turner worked under Trump’s first administration as the Executive Director of the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council. Sean Duffy will serve as the Transportation Secretary; his qualifications include being a former congressman representing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District.
Chris Wright was named the Secretary of Energy and previously served as the CEO of Liberty Energy. Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, is a former wrestling executive, who strives to empower parents to make informed decisions for the education of their families.
The Secretary of Veteran Affairs is veteran Doug Collins, the former Republican Representative of Georgia. Secretary of the Homeland Kristi Noem served as the governor of South Dakota.
Other roles whose hosts have shifted positions amidst the presidential inauguration include the positions of FBI and CIA Directors, the Director of National Intelligence, and the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
