Yossi Yativ

“It always thrills me to show my birth certificate, which is written in Arabic, Hebrew, and English, to my Israel Education classes. On it, it says ‘the Government of Palestine’ because I was born in Palestine in 1947. It brings me great joy to have transformed from being a Palestinian to being a Sabra, a Jew born in Palestine, which became Israel in 1948. Basically, I have a lot of pride for being Israeli and I am proud of Israel’s success in the past 66 years. It is my passion to teach this and transmit this enthusiasm about Israel to my students. I am so proud to say that I have Yemeni blood, Turkish blood, Palestinian blood, Israeli blood, and now American blood.” -Yossi Yativ, Israel Education Teacher
