Rabbi Pilichowski

“When my wife and I got engaged, we had a long discussion about where we wanted to live. It lasted about thirty seconds, and we both agreed, Israel is the place we wanted to be. It has always been a dream of mine to live in Israel. Starting in my adolescence, my parents raised me to be grateful to the United States for all that they do for us as a Jewish nation, but to remember that Israel will always be home, because home is where you are always safest. So just like my parents did with me, I have raised my children to understand the importance of helping our Jewish state. Because of this, my dream eventually became theirs, and so when we told them we were moving to Israel about a year and a half ago, they were happier than my wife and I were. This brought me incredible joy, and they are living every moment of it. They are loving it. It may not be the right moment for everybody, but everybody should be planning to move to Israel at some point in their lives. It was definitely the right moment for us.”
