“As a little boy, I had the pleasure of meeting a 5-star general of the U.S. army. I remember being so impressed with the general’s uniform, his metals, his charisma, and the way people respected him. You could tell he was someone important. Ever since then, I’ve always wanted to be a soldier. I was the kid that collected toy soldiers, navy soldiers, air force, rangers, everything you could think of. I read all I could about the history of the military. I was so fascinated by the army that I would devour any book I could get my hands on that had to do with the army. I became so impressed with the military and their role in protecting our country, giving us liberty and keeping the pillars of democracy and civilization alive and strong. It has always been my dream to serve my country, first in the army, and then in public office; one day, I hope not so far away.”
